In the last 15 years we have assisted over 100 organizations in many industries to meet quality system requirements such as ISO : 9001 and / or Industry Standards such as:

Your Quality Manager

A new service from Applied Consulting.  Maintaining a Quality Management system requires focused effort to ensure that the system continues to meet certification requirements and is improved.  This effort entails activities such as internal audits, management reports and reviews, keeping track of problems or errors and document changes and updates etc. 
As a general rule this is managed with internal resources – such as by appointment of an internal Quality Manager.  While this can work well, there are times when the associated costs do not return the expected benefits. 
We can offer you an outsourced service to take on some or all of these responsibilities.  This has some distinct advantages:

  • Costs will usually be less than your current spend (particularly when indirect and opportunity costs are considered)
  • Our approach often improves the results gained from the QMS
  • Risk of knowledge loss when staff leave or are moved is reduced

Organisational Assessment

If you want to know where to start your improvement effort, we can provide a “wide angle lens” on your organisation to identify the best opportunities. 
Paul has worked in organisational assessment for the last 15 years.  Organisational assessment provides an independent view of how an organisation meets best practice criteria, and, more particularly how organisational performance can be improved.  Paul has experience working with various criteria including the Australian Business Excellence Framework, The Baldridge Criteria (the US Business Excellence model), ISO 9004 and more specific models such as the Excellence Criteria in Vocational Education and Training.  Relevant recent projects include:

  •  Lead Evaluator to assess Queensland TAFE Institutes’ readiness for Statutory  Authority status – using a balanced scorecard type model
  • Development of the Resource industry Training Organisation Excellence Criteria

We have conducted over twenty program evaluations over the last ten years answering this question.  We offer a combination of broad experience together with best practice methodologies to provide insight into strengths and opportunities for improvement.
